Branding Without Technology :
At Ideus, we believe that branding exercises carried out without leveraging appropriate technology can lead to good looks but no feel. Branding paradigms which focus too much on Visual interfaces and Visual Design rarely get clever technology support and hence remain incomplete. The future in branding holds not for companies/individuals which can leverage the first impression, but for companies which can provide a lasting user experience to their clients.
Technology Without Branding :
With development in Web technology, more dreams/ideas see the light of the day, but few succeed; mostly due to lack of compliance with best UI and HCI practices. Before a second chance, those ideas are rebranded and launched by others and the beginners’ advantage is lost. While the best back-ends may be well-designed, efficient, scalable and fully compliant to certain standards or may undergo a number of cycles of redevelopment; the results are hardly encouraging unless the development is carried out with a sensible user-centric approach. The current landscape rolls too much on one of the sides.
